All About Parmelee Townhomes

Parmelee of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina is a true townhome community located only about 3.4 miles from the beach. And in a very desirable area, very close to everything Murrells Inlet has to offer!

So, why are we noting this is a “true” townhome community? Well, because a true townhouse is very different from a horizontal property regime (AKA HPR or Condo). See, in traditional condo communities all land around and under your home is owned jointly in common with all the other residents of the community. As mentioned above, Parmelee is located close to everything Murrells Inlet has to offer.

3. Time of development

The first homes sold back in 2008 and later construction didn’t stop until 2017.

The buildings were built in phases and DR Horton was the builder of most of the phases in the community which happened from around 2010 to 2017. 

As you'll see in the video, you can see an obvious difference in aesthetics between the very first phase and later phases.

4. Home plans, type of construction, & square footage

There are various floor plans offered in Parmelee ranging from around 1,800-2,100 heated square feet.

Every plan in the community is either a 3 or 4 bedroom. Nothing smaller or bigger was built.

These townhomes offer a main level (1st floor) living area, kitchen, master bedroom and screened in porch. Many of these units do have an upstairs, but only for some of the additional bedrooms, bonus space, or storage. However, all units are side-by-sides, so no one below or above you!

Each property also offers a 1 or 2 car garage. As you’ll see in the video, there is a wide arrangement of interior and end units. With both 1 and 2 car garage models.

If you like the idea of a waterfront property, well you’re in luck! Many of these units are situated directly on the beautiful ponds (featuring tranquil water features) which flow throughout Parmelee.

The original units built in 2008 are constructed of all concrete fiber siding and have a unique coastal look with the Hurricane Bahama Shutters on the front exterior windows. 

The remainder of the community constructed from 2010-2017 was built using concrete fiber and finishes of brick or stone veneer. 

And to finish things up with another very wonderful feature, Parmelee is a natural gas community!
