International Club is a rather large master planned type district located in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. I use the word "district" simply because of the sheer size and number of communities. So, what is the International Club?

To help you, the video above will go over 5 important facts to know about the International Club community and area.

1. Size and number of communities

The International Club is roughly 800 acres (including the golf course). *These numbers may not be exact. They were determined using an online service and could differ from the actual acreage.

• The community is situated around the International Club golf course.
• The community is made up of 8 single family home communities and 5 condo/townhome communities

2. Location

The International Club is located about 4 miles inland from the Garden City Beaches, in the northwest section of Murrells Inlet. The entire district is located in Horry County. The location is convenient to all Murrells Inlet has to offer and only a quick golf cart ride to shopping and restaurants. Below are distances to some of the staples. • 4 Miles to Garden City Beach (Be sure to watch the video on our Murrells Inlet page for an explanation of Garden City Beach)
• 8 Miles to Huntington Beach State Park (3 miles of protected beaches with public parking, nature trails, events, sightseeing, inlets, wildlife, multiple restroom facilities, gift shop, and restaurant). *Residents can purchase a yearly pass for $99 per year.
• 4 Miles to the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk (Be sure to watch the video for Marshwalk video footage)
• Within 3 Miles of 6 golf courses (5 public and 1 private)
• 1 Mile to The Prince Creek Shopping District (yes, you can golf cart here. See video above for further details)

3. Age, Style, and Square Footage

As mentioned in the section above, International Club is a large district with a number of communities, style of housing, various home/condo sizes, and a large range of age of construction.

Single Family Homes:

• Single Family Homes range from 1,200-3,900 heated square feet
• Original community development started in the early 2,000's and is still ongoing today (as of 2023). So you will find older, more established homes and also new brand new construction.
• The style of housing you will find are mainly single level homes (with possibly some secondary living or bonus spaces up stairs)
• International Club is mainly a tract built district. This means that a specific builder developed the community and built multiple similar homes on a tract of land.
• Although the homes are tract built, the same home builder did not develop each one of the 13 communities within the International Club. All 13 communities are a bit different. This means there are a wide range of floor plans within the area.
• The homes range in type of construction. For example, you'll find homes with various types of siding materials and elevation (vinyl, brick veneer, and concrete fiber).

• The Condos and Townhouses range from 1,000-2,400 heated square feet
• Like the homes, the first condo community was developed in the early 2,000's.
• There are both condos and townhomes available within the International Club (Please note: Breaking down the difference of a condo "HPR" vs. townhome per the classification type is a rather complex topic. Please reach out for further clarification). However, for the purpose of this description we are referring to a condo as a multi-level complex vs. dwellings with a garage and no other units above or below them.

4. Amenities

Many of the communities located in International Club offer residents amenities, however, the privileges do vary based on the community you are considering. Many of the more established communities developed in the early 2000's gain access to the amenity center located next to the golf course clubhouse. As you'll see in the video footage above, this amenity center offers residents not only a swimming pool, but also a library, fitness center, and playground.

Some of the newer communities may still offer an amenity center, but may only have access to a swimming pool and playground area.
